Mrs. Bickel

Let me be the first to introduce myself to all of you Clever Cupcakes!  I am Mrs. Bickel and I have the absolute pleasure of being your First Grade teacher this school year.  I am so excited to for the start of the school year and to get to know each and every one of you, but first, I need to tell you all a little about myself.

Well, you already know that my name is Mrs. Bickel and that I teach First Grade.  My favorite color is yellow, I love sour, gummy candy, and I love to bake.  I am pretty crafty and enjoy making things when I have the time.  My favorite food is sushi and hibachi steakhouse dinners...yum!!  I have been teaching First Grade for eight years and before that I taught Kindergarten for nine years at Hopewell School in Taunton.  I love teaching the foundational years of school, watching my students learn and discover just how brilliant they are, and guiding them to realize their full potential and abilities while gaining the confidence they need to succeed.  Challenges are only going to make them stronger and they will always learn from the mistakes they make.  I went to Stonehill College and received a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and went on to earn my Master's Degree at Bridgewater State College in the same field.  I love what I do and can't wait to get started with your kiddos!!

Personally, I am married and I have two beautiful daughters who are 11 and 8 years old.  We live in Raynham, Ma and they attend school there.  My oldest Rylie will be starting 6th grade this year and is excited to see what adventures that brings.  Rylie is a competitive cheerleader who travels all over the country to compete against other teams for national titles.  She loves the sport and is very dedicated to both her education and her cheer.  My little one, Presley, she is my firecracker!! She is headed into the 3rd grade and is super excited.  She cheers as well, just not at the same level.  Presley has also, recently, picked up the sport of tennis and loves it!  She has taken to it pretty quickly and wants to continue throughout the fall.  We also have a puppy named Cookie!  Cookie joined our family last Christmas, and boy was she the surprise of a lifetime for the girls.  Cookie is a blue and tan French Bulldog with the most loveable and sweet personality.  However, she can get a little frisky when it's playtime!!

Well, I hope you have enjoyed getting to know me and I truly look forward to getting to know you all and your families.  I know this year is going to be a little different, but I can assure you that it will still be a fantastic one!! Bye for now!!
